Ngoma Safari Lodge
Ngoma sits high on an escarpment and commands tremendous views of the Chobe River and its floodplains. Ngoma Safari Lodge is the ideal location to explore the Chobe riverfront because it is in a remote location, located 55 km to the west of Kasane helping you avoid crowds.
Chobe is famed for its enormous elephant populations and the exceptional viewing possible by boat on the Chobe River, one of the best water based wildlife viewing opportunities in the world. The prime time to visit, as the dry season progresses from July through October, when thousands of elephants come to the Chobe riverfront early and late in the day. Buffalo herds up to 1,500 individuals also use the river’s edge for grazing. A boat trip is the ultimate way to see the variety of animals along the river. Game drives can be very productive too but because you are in a National Park vehicles must stay on the roads, and particularly in the riverfront area this can lead to some crowding at special sightings.
The thatched lodge incorporates rustic and ethnic styles, with natural finishes and an emphasis on space and comfort. The central area includes a sitting room, dining room, bar area, game viewing deck, new pool deck and a plunge pool with a striking water feature. Spend evenings around the fire looking out at the floodlit waterhole.
Ngoma Safari Lodge offers diverse safari activities in the Chobe area. Game drives are conducted in open sided vehicles with professional guides. River Cruises offer guests the chance to experience game viewing on the Chobe River.
